landline not showing missed calls from private numbers

We recently upgraded to the hub 5 with our landline plugged in to the hub. Since changing hubs when family with private numbers ring we do not get missed call alerts. Any other numbers show up as missed calls.

Nothing was changed on the phone and this has only started since changing to the hub 5.

Any ideas?

Hi johnben,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We're sorry to hear that you're no longer getting missed call notifications. Is this happening for all calls or only the withheld numbers? Are you aware of whether the calls are coming through when you are home or are they not able to get through at all?

It's worth checking your handset for any features it has incase these need to be re-activated.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

Thanks,

As far as we know only private numbers, we have had missed call alerts from other numbers.

We also think that the phone doesn't ring with calls from private numbers.

Hi johnben,

Thanks for advising that. Can you let us know what happens when trying to call your landline from a private number? This will allow us to narrow some things down.

Thanks,

Do you have VM's 'anonymous caller rejection' service on your line? That would stop any private numbers coming through.

Does your landline phone have a feature to block 'withheld' numbers?

Try a test call in to your landline from a mobile and withhold the number as a one-off when dialling in. See if your landline phone gives any indication of a call (such as showing caller ID etc.) or see if the phone remains unresponsive to the incoming call.
