Porting landline number from BT

Hi All Dear Support, i'd like to port over my BT landline telephone number. Regards Alex

    And absolutely don’t do anything with BT, the onus is on VM as the ‘gaining provider’ to sort it! There is a very good chance that if you were to follow the advice given, the number port will fail.

Just to confirm, if the number still active with BT and if not, when did the number become out of service?

Hi I'd like to port my BT number to my new Virgin Media connection. Please advise how I do this.

    Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, we can help you port your number over. There are a few things that we need to check first, if the number is still active with the previous provider, the number area code is still in the same area if you have moved address. With that, could you join me in a private message so we can get some details from you.
