My mother is 91 years old, lives alone and suffers from Dementia. She fell at home, breaking her leg and was admitted to hospital on 10Oct 2023. She was then transferred from hospital to a care home and has been there ever since. Because of her Dementia she is unable to remember anything for more than a few minutes, This along with a high risk of further falls means she will not return to her home, which will be put up for sale in the near future to pay for care home fees. Because of these circumstances she no longer needs her home landline, but is not in a position to do anything about it herself. Looking after the affairs of my elderly mother is no easy task at the best of times, made more challenging because of my own age (70yrs) and living more than 500 miles away from her. Please can you let me know how I go about having her landline cancelled (it is out of the contract period). Many thanks in the hope you can offer some practical advice/support, Thomas

Thanks for reaching out to us @TomH-2020, and a very warm welcome to our Community Forums!
We're so terribly sorry to hear of your Mother's ill health and wish you both well, during what must be a very difficult time.
I'd be happy to assist you in getting her account sorted, with the assistance from our specialist team who deal with accounts in which the account holder no longer requires the service due to ill health.
Check out the envelope in the top right hand corner and we'll aim to have this sorted for you
Thanks,
