This has been a major issue ever since I joined virgin media, and came away from BT.
Virgin media to east coast american servers (US East (N. Virginia) average 105 ms ping. Best I have ever had was 84 ms ping which lasted a few weeks with virgin media ,it goes to show Virgin media could improve their routing to east Virginia, as now I am always on 104 ms ping
BT fiber to the cabinet to east coast american servers (US East (N. Virginia) I get constant 78ms ping.
