Hi, I play warzone competitively and a lot of the the tournaments are hosted on servers on the east coast or in Texas in the USA and I have been getting worse pings to these servers recently. I used to get around 90ms ping to New York servers and 110-120 to Texas but in the last month I have been getting 120 to New York and 160ms to Texas which is making it a lot harder to compete with the US players.
I am in Ireland and I tried a traceroute and geolocating IP addresses on the traceroute and my traffic seems to be going from Ireland to London before going across the Atlantic instead of taking a more direct route using the under-sea cables that go from Ireland direct to the US.
Can anyone give me ideas for what I can try to lower the ping myself e.g vpn settings or is the only thing that can be done is Virgin changing their routing for US traffic from Ireland? Obviously I am using a wired Ethernet connection.

Hi @Darer
Welcome to our community forums and thank you for your first posts. We are sorry to hear you are having issues with Ping while gaming. We can understand the frustration caused and we want to best help. To best look into this, can you confirm if you are a Virgin Media Ireland customer as seen here Also, is this the only game you are having issues with?

Hi Akua, I am a virgin media Ireland customer and it is the only game I play. I tried a vpn and it was helpful in reducing my ping to every single game server.

The routing seems to have been fixed, I am getting normal ping again
