cant get emails

Hi So i have noticed i cant get any emails  , so i   logged into my virgin media  account  and it is asking to verify my email address before i can change my password , which i what i want to do ,  could anyone  pease tell me  in very simple steps how to do this then hopefully i can change the password .

@Tony24 In order to verify the email address you need to change the username for the email account to a third party email address as explained in the pages in the first link posted by jpeg1.

A verification code will be sent to the third party email address which will then allow you to follow the password change process for your VM email address.

so i done as you said but still cant see nowhere to change the email password , i am wondering now that i may well have been locked out of changing my email password by virgin  ??? as i had the same thing happen to me 2 years ago . i spoke to virgin thursday the 4th of july and they could not do it and so have told me a tech person will ring me its now the 9th of july and noone has rang me yet , this is so frustrating as i need my emails also it would of been helpful a time as well as a day they would ring me as i dont want to go out as i might miss them ..

Sorry to hear of the email access issues and problems resetting the password. From what you have advised, when you have spoken to the team they have experienced issues resetting this and raised it with our support team. 


These can take 5 working days to be investigated and resolved, this doesn't include weekends. If you still haven't heard anything by the end of this week let us know and we can take a look into this. If you have access to your online account you can try the following steps:


  • Sign in to My Virgin Media
  • Go to Account settings, then Account details
  • Tap Manage next to Manage your Virgin Media Mail app password under Virgin Media Mail
  • Then, under Virgin Media Mail app password tap Get password
  • Continue the flow and a new secure password will be generated, and the mailbox unlocked
  • Update any third-party apps that may be use to access your Virgin Media Mail emails with this new app password.


when I go to account settings, account details I don't see manage.????  This is what I see
