What are VM doing with 'additional' emails?

Many customers have received confusing emails today.

A CLEAR STATEMENT IS NEEDED.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

As I understand it these messages relate to additional My Virgin Media accounts that do not have a VM email address not additional email addresses.  That will be any additional MyVM account created after May 2022 when VM stopped issuing new email addresses.

Thanks. I think I understand that. Unfortunately there are a number of VM customers this morning who clearly don't.

Hi jpeg1,

Thanks for your post.

The additional accounts feature is being removed to improve account security, as part of our commitment to keep our online spaces safe and secure. The main account holder will still be able to sign in to My Virgin Media as usual. You can also still check your service status without needing to sign in to My Virgin Media.

All the relevant information is included in the emails sent to affected customers, however we're happy to answer any questions our customers may have around this communication.
