Just received notification that my account and virgin.net address will be deleted in 30 days. I have set up a new gmail account and transferred emails from the virgin account into it. I will amend/update my contacts to advise the new email address. I also plan to set up a divert so anyone I have missed could still contact me. My question is whether, after the 30 days, will the divert still work or will the sender get a failed message? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Once the 30 days has passed, your mailbox will be gone and no more forwarding will take place. Senders to the deleted mailbox should get some sort of 'undeliverable' notification as the mailbox will no longer exist.
