Unable to access blueyonder.co.uk email

Since yesterday early evening I have been unable to access my emails.  I have always had an email address ending with blueyonder.co.uk and the message I am getting is telling me that either the account is locked or I don't have an active account.  The message then goes on to say that I need to change my password, by selecting Sign In, then selecting Forgotten your email or password, however I don't get the option of changing my password, so am unable to go any further.  Any ideas as to what to do as I need to get access to my email?

Do you have a current Virginmedia broadband account? If so, log into it and check that the email account is still linked to it.

If not, the email address has probably been closed by VM in accordance with their T and C s.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Yes, I still have a Virgin media broadband account

If the email is linked to that account, follow the advice here:

I think I have messed up this as have created new password for My Virgin Media account, but then I had to generate a new password specifically for 3rd party mailbox apps, but all I was asked was to change my email address from my blueyonder.co.uk address, but there was nothing about a new secure password being generated, so I am now still unable to access my blueyonder.co.uk email account.

@mj2504smith Once you have changed the sign in username for the blueyonder email address you should get a verification code sent to the third party email address.  This should then allow you to generate an app password for the blueyonder email address concerned.  Did you receive the verification email?

Yes, I did.

I was asked to change my email address, so used my gmail address, which has nothing to do with my Blue Yonder email address and I then received an email to verify that gmail address.  I was not given the option of changing a password.  I'm not really that tech minded, so am very confused at what I need to do now.

Looks like I have somehow managed to sort the issue, so all okay now.
