I have an ntlworld email account that has been hacked. It’s impossible to log on to change my password as ntlworld no longer exists.
I need this account account permanent deleted so the hacker can no longer send emails on my behalf. I contacts Virgin who told me to not use the account for 90 days and the account will close, which is simply not true.
I have seen lots of other people have had the same issue and you seem to be able to help.
Thanks

recently I have started to receive a lot of spam emails, and some with invoices attached for goods/services I haven't received, which makes me very uncomfortable. I want to close the account, and my wife's ntlworld account, and replace them with virginmedia accounts, but I can not find any process on your information to do this. From reading forum messages I understand that I have to contact you via the forum to get this done.

@Northwest99 As long as neither of the addresses are the Primary address on the VM broadband account they should be capable of being deleted.
However, you will not be able to replace them with virginmedia email addresses as VM stopped issuing new email addresses in May 2022. You would need to create new email addresses with another email supplier such as Gmail or MS Outlook.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Please read the FAQs
