Hi, this is still a problem, email do not get collected with send/receive....if I continue looking at email via web page they eventually get collected by Outlook....this has been going on for ages now. If you cannot fix this go back to old system that worked fine.

Hi fxv300,
Thank you for your post. I'm very sorry you're having issues with your email address.
To confirm, if you are sent an email does it arrive?

yes it arrives and can be seen via a browser. But I use Outlook on a PC, this setup has worked for years until the software change a month or so ago. Since then I have had a multitude of problems. Most have been fixed but the only problem now is that Outlook is no longer capable of Send/Receive ....emails that are visible in the browser fail to get received by Outlook...have tried many things...Offline/online, updatding just one folder, shutting and restarting outlook...the odd thing is that sometomes when I open an email at the browser then the emails download to outlook but not always. Your help appreciated.

You should be using:
IMAP4 Settings
IMAP4 server name | imap.virginmedia.com |
IMAP4 SSL (Encryption method) | Enabled |
IMAP4 port | 993 |
IMAP4 authentication | Enabled (or 'Password' on Macs) |
IMAP4 username | Full email address, for example, richard.branson@virginmedia.com Note: If you update your username in My Virgin Media, this email address will not change.
|
IMAP4 SPA (Secure Password Authentication) | Disabled |
SMTP Settings
SMTP server name | smtp.virginmedia.com |
SMTP SSL (Encryption method) | Enabled |
SMTP port | 465 |
SMTP authentication | Enabled (or 'Password' on Macs) |
SMTP username | Full email address, for example, richard.branson@virginmedia.com Note: If you update your username in My Virgin Media, this email address will not change. |
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Please read the FAQs
