Today I suddenly can't access my virgin.net email accout that I've used for 20 years. It says that I'm not a Virgin customer but I am.

This is devastaing, I've lost access to things that I need.

What can I do? I need my email account back.

If you are a VM broadband customer it may be possible to associate your virgin.net mailbox with your VM broadband account for continued use.

You need to engage with a VM forum team person on here to do that. A VM person should reply here on this topic within a few days (they can be identified as below)

Beware of receiving an unsolicited approach via PM, in the meantime, from forum users who are not VM employees as there have been a couple of mentions of scammers exploiting the current situation and pretending to be VM staff

Hi DwK101,

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 😊

As goslow has advised, if you still have an active broadband account with us, we can look to try and transfer the email account to your active account.

If not, I'm afraid the email account would be deleted. We would have sent you an email to advise the closure of the account, can you confirm if you've received this and on what date?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

That would be great, I do still have an active broadband account with Virgin.

I did receive this email, on the 17th of October, but I wrongly assumed that it was some kind of scam.

Hi @DwK101,

Thank you for expanding and clarifying. I'm going to send you a private message in a few moments so we can take some details. Please respond to that when you can and we'll go from there.

Thanks,
