Email sign in on 3rd party email app.

Nicotene
Dialled in

I have a new phone and blueyonder email address. I'm using a 3rd party email app to read my emails on my old phone but I am unable to setup the account on my new phone because I have forgotten the email password.

I've tried to change the password for 3rd party apps via my virgin media but it is asking me to change the account email address. Will I still sign in using my blueyonder email address?

@Nicotene You can read about the username change requirement here: https://www.virginmedia.com/dpb/help/change-my-virgin-media-email-address

Once you have changed the username to a third party email address that becomes the log in username for VM webmail and the My Virgin media account with the account password.

For third party email apps the username remains as the full blueyonder email address together with the app generated password.
