I've just received an Email stating "I no longer have VM Services" and my Email Account (@virgin.net) will be closed in 30 Days.
Is this legitimate as the Address the Virgin Broadband is connected to has not been Cancelled and this is incredibly distressing as I'm currently dealing with my seriously ill Father.

@Steve2810 This is a genuine email from VM. As you have noted the virgin net email address isn't associated with your VM broadband account. This is why you have received the closure notice.
The VM Forum Team staff should be able to check if the email address concerned can be linked to your current broadband account. They will respond here in due course.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Please read the FAQs

I've been using my @virgin.net Email Address since 1998 and although it isn't linked to an Account (We were Nynex then NTL then Virgin) I do not understand what has prompted this and would like confirmation that this will not happen as I'm currently trying to cope with my Father being Hospitalised and don't need the additional Stress of having to alter all my Email Address details with my Contacts as well. Is It possible to link it with the VM TV / Broadband Account at my Home Address which is in my Father's Name ?

Hello Steve2810.
Thanks for your post and welcome back to ur community.
We're sorry to hear about your Father being hospitalised, which must be a very worrying time for you all.
From what you have described about your .net account being closed soon.
Regarding you linking this to your Fathers active account, it would not be possible as we do need to pass security with each named account holder to be able to help.
That would mean the account holder to set up an account on here and ask pass security.
As much as we genuinely want to help you still have 30 days from the date of the letter to transfer all your contacts across to a 3rd party email account.
Sorry again.

Some information on backing up emails is in this topic below
which may help in archiving the mailbox

This is very a poor show from Virgin, my Father never had a PassCode as the account was inherited from Nynex and then NTL when Virgin took over the TV & Broadband so it's been in his name since 1994 and he's always left the Tech Stuff to me. If I can supply the Account Number and Address would it not be Possible to link the Email ?

Hi Steve2810,
Thank you for reach back out, as advised by my colleague on your earlier post From what you have described about your .net account being closed soon, regarding you linking this to your Fathers active account, it would not be possible as we do need to pass security with each named account holder to be able to help.
That would mean the account holder to set up an account on here and ask pass security.
As much as we genuinely want to help you still have 30 days from the date of the letter to transfer all your contacts across to a 3rd party email account.
apologies again for any inconvenience caused.
Regards
Paul.

This is very poor, in the event I end up taking over the Account I will be seriously considering leaving VM due to this as this is needless in the extreme.

We are sorry you feel this way Steve, any email issues/ support has to be with the account holder.
Regards
Paul.

Distressing though this is, you are better off by being given 30 days' notice.
Many former customers have only known about it after their email accounts have been cut off.
