Morning,

I saw yesterday that there were a lot of people having issues with VM's mail servers. That issue seems to be carrying on this morning.I tried sending myself an email from another account, but it was VERY slow to arrive.I'm missing emails from Amazon from yesterday, and from estimation lots of other emails as well.

"Anybody still having the same issues this morning?"

* downdetectors email issue reports are also on the up

I don't use webmail. It's happening on my android devices using outlook. My Windows pc gets the same emails immediately.  The latest delay has been 12 hours!

Let's be clear about this. VM does not send emails out to your devices.

Email sent to you by other people sit in VM's email server. You can look at them immediately by webmail.

Alternatively you can use an email app on your device to go to the VM server and copy the emails it finds there. Different email apps work in different ways and have different settings. They may approach the server differently.

Or you can use Outlook, which means that a third party - Microsoft - sits in the middle.

One thing is certain. Once any of your email apps has seen the email on VM's server, it is there for any other to see without further delay.

All I can tell you is that we have been with VM for 10 years. I have always used android tablet and phone with a current version of outlook on it. Until 2 weeks ago it all worked fine. Since 2 weeks ago I do not receive emails promptly. It leaves the latest email in limbo somewhere. If I send an email between our vm accounts the missing email arrives but the latest email does not. I can repeat this process add nauseum and the same thing happens.  So the problem us VMs system somehow.  I am not an IT expert but clearly VM have a problem as some customers have had this problem for months! And VM seem to be ignoring it. A very dissatisfied long standing VM customer.

I should have added that we also have a PC running Win 10 and a full version of Outlook and this is still working fine receiving all emails promptly.

I should also gave said that I have completely deleted my VM email accounts from my android devices and the re added them. Same problem continues!

No Matthew I'm not having email issues because I've never used Virginmedia email.

But a lot of people are having issues, and they don't seem to be getting any help from VM. What can you offer them?

Yes. Email to me from Royal Academy timed at 12.24 has just arrived at 16.47 because a SI Sent an email between our 2 accounts and it pushed this earlier email through!  So nothing has changed. I don't think VM care anymore as they have stopped providing email to new customers.  I think they would be pleased if we all left VM!

Hi Matt. The same problem persists. I have lost count of the number of messages I have posted to various VM staff and no one does anything. So what's the point of me explaining it all again. Plenty of posts from me here if you want to take a look.
