Email Closure

Hi, has anyone cracked this yet? I've had a virgin.net account for 20+ years. I have spoken to VM 9 times on the phone and many times on whatsapp. They have provided a number of solutions eg buy a paid service and we'll connect your email to it, change some settings, it's Talk Talk's problem etc. I'm now 4 days away from closure and like many have a lot of personal and business stuff hanging on this and nothing has worked yet.

On a separate note does anyone know if they've conduct an impact assessment to establish if any particular group are disproportionately affected by this policy eg older people?

If you are currently a VM broadband customer, VM may be able to link the .net mailbox to your VM broadband account and preserve the .net email address.

If you are not currently a VM broadband customer, VM seems to be intent on closing those legacy mailboxes.

Hi albald68,

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 😊

As goslow has advised, if you have an active broadband account with us we can help, and look to transfer the email address over to the active account, if this is the case please let us know and we can pop you over a private message.

If however you do not have an active broadband service would close and we're encouraging customers to make sure that they:

•  Send any important emails or contacts to another email address.

•  Save any attachments you want to keep to your computer or device.

•  Let all your contacts know about your new email address.
