E-mail account security

Hi all,

Is there anything possible on the e-mail account security to see recent logins or sign out active sessions etc? If concerned I appreciate you can change the password but what if someone is actively signed into the account?

Many thanks

Sorry, not that I'm aware of but....

"what if someone is actively signed into the account?"

There is an option to sign out of all devices in your My Virgin Media account.

  • Sign in to the MVM account for that email address
  • Go to "Account settings"
  • Then  "My Virgin Media account details"

You'll then see this screen

Sign out of all devices.png

It does say sign out of  "My Virgin Media" everywhere. However, I have just tested it and it does in fact also sign you out of the associated email account as soon as you click anywhere on the email page.

You can check that for yourself.

Excellent, thanks Coenoby I'll use that method.

Funnily enough email notifications from here go into my junk every time too. Keep marking them as safe but would have thought emails from virginmedia sites wouldn't get blacklisted.

That issue was first raised back in March so I'm afraid the fun has rather gone out it as far as I'm concerned 🙄

The VM forum is actually a Khoros product and the problem is due to fact that the notification emails sent by the Khoros software fail VM's autherntication checks on incoming emails. In fact a lot of email providers also flag the forum emails as spam. As you say, flagging the forum emails as not spam has no effect.

Anyway, I'm pleased that you are happy with the Sign Out All Devices option. 👍

I hope that puts your mind at rest.

Thanks yes, the reminder that time did too. At least I know where to find them, makes sense if it's not a VM product.

Thanks again
