Cannot access emails still via Apple mail.

Hi,  I have an ntlworld account.   I still am unable to access my emails via mail on a mac/iphone. I can access via virginmedia webmail.  I have set up an app password.  But still not recognised. 

Also any updates on when the historic emails will be restored?

Juts to clarify please, have you followed the below steps?

• Sign in to My Virgin Media
• Go to Account settings, then Account details
• Tap Manage next to Manage your Virgin Media Mail app password under Virgin Media Mail
• Then, under Virgin Media Mail app password tap Get password
• Continue the flow and a new secure password will be generated, and the mailbox unlocked
• Update any third-party apps that may be use to access your Virgin Media Mail emails with this new app password.

There is no such app listed in the App Store. Only My Virgin Media and that does not have email.
