Cannot Access E-Mail

Morning,

Couple of weeks ago, discovered mail was logged out, when I tried to access.

I've not changed password etc. USe VM webmail, with a BY account.

URL used to acces, for some time, is

mail.virginmedia.com/appsuite/#!!&app=io.ox/mail&folder=default0/INBOX

Says 'mail or password was incorrect'.

Can't find URL for reset.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi,

Password to emails is the same as to your VM account. It is part of the same login authorisation process.

In case of forgotten password you can rest it via:

https://www.virginmedia.com/identity/forgotten-details/password

In the last few months VM have made major changes to the security of VM email accounts so it's highly unlikely the password reset option is going to work for your account.

Assuming that you are still a VM broadband customer the new process to reset the password for your Blueyonder email account is:

  1. Sign into the My Virgin Media (MVM) Account foryour Blueyonder email account using that Blueyonder email address and the existing password. Here's the link to sign into the MVM account https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media
  2. Click on the Account settings tab and then the My Virginmedia account details tab.
  3. Scroll down to the My sign in details section and click on Edit to the right of password
  4. Then follow the instructions.

Bear in mind that you will have to provide a non VM email address (so a Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo etc address) to  become your Username for your Blueyonder account. That will not affect your Blueyonder email account or address but it does mean that in future you will have to enter the non VM email address as the username when you sign into your BY webmail account or the MVM account.

That's the major change that I mentioned at the beginning of this post.
