Can't log into email: "Your virgin media mail account is currently unavailable"

Hi, 

Can anybody help with this on how to log in to my email. I called the helpline and they said the account has been deleted and that I had been emailed, but I didn't receive anything to warn me.  

I need to access my inbox so I can let people know an alternative email address, once i have set something else up. I don't have their email addresses stored anywhere else except in the virgin.net account that has been deleted ! How can they do this, and delete all my history! I've been using virgin.net for the last 25 years. 

The message says that the account is locked or because i don't have an active account anymore, yet i logged in every day. 

Really annoying.

We're sorry to hear your email address has been deleted. Just to clarify, do you have an active Virgin Media Broadband account in your name?

Hello, no I don't have a broadband account with Virgin. I did have many years ago but it proved too unreliable on the poor signal, and I need good internet access for my work so I changed to Sky.

I need access to the virgin email account so I can make arrangements to transfer. I got no warning and I am really annoyed about this inconvenience. It's not just email it's all my log ons for everything and it's caused me a lot of disruption.

Don't tell me that this applies to those who have no broadband or customer account with Virgin as i have seen from previous posts since my email was blocked. Irrespective of this, I am annoyed I wasn't informed and the disrupton and the missed messages that I now cannot access. Your support team insist that everybody was informed, and that it has affected a lot of people as if that should make it acceptable for me, but I was NOT informed, otherwise I would have done something about it without all this hassle. It is disgraceful that you can do this and delete my email account and block my access to my email messages.

Sorry to hear you were not made aware of this @DD12 We did send out an email notification recently regarding email closure. As you have been made aware, generally we close a VM account, we close any associated email addresses within 90 days. As seen in your case, sometimes the email can exist for longer than this until we manually delete it. We have sent you a private message to further look into this for you. Please keep an eye out for an envelope at the top right corner of your Forum page.
