Blocking Domains?

Hi. I keep getting spam where the first part of the sender's address is different every time with a row of random numbers and letters, but the domain after the '@'  is always the same. The domain is @berkon.com. I made a filter rule but it doesn't work, I still keep getting spam from that domain. Here's a screenshot of my filter rule, how should I change it? I did also try a rule with the '@' included but that didn't work either. Thanks.

Thank you! I've now changed it to Domain. I hadn't noticed that option in the drop down box before you suggested it. Hopefully that'll work now.

@Merlin5 Be aware that if the VM filters are already directing the emails to their spam folder then any user created filters will have no effect.

Hi Graham, all the spam emails from that domain have been coming into my inbox and I've been manually sending them to my spam folder. Now with the change to the filter rule, I'm hoping/assume they'll get automatically sent to the spam folder.

Hi Merlin5 👋

Thanks for posting, and welcome back to the Forums.

I'm sorry to hear you're receiving spam emails on one of your Virgin Media Mail accounts. If this hasn't been recognised by our Spam Filters and automatically re-routed to the Spam folder, then it's best to forward the emails to phishing@virginmedia.co.uk and our teams will investigate further.

If you receive a ‘Spam Content Found’ error when forwarding the emails to us via Webmail, then we are already aware of the email and have taken steps to ensure the email is blocked on our platform.

Thanks,

Reece - Forum Team
