Virgin Media green box directly in front of driveway

Dear Virgin Media,

I have lived at my property for nearly 30 years and have a dropped kerb to allow access to and from my land. I have a wall for privacy on the property however have recently taken steps to obtain planning permission for the dropped kerb to be extended and the privacy wall to be knocked down.

I am however saddened to learn that Virgin Media, without any notice whatsoever, have began works to construct a large green metal box smack in the middle of my property, hindering my plans to allow easy access to and from my drive.

It is frustrating as my property is semi detatched and could easily have been located in a more convenient position. This not only devalues the property but also causes major inconveinence when others in the household want to park their vehicles with a large box in the middle of the driveway.

The works have just begun and are not concluded.

Can you please advise who to speak with in order to resolve this issue as I fear it is unsafe given potential damage can be caused to the box by a lapse of concentration and damaging the box will cause major health and safety concerns given the electrical nature of the same.

I look forward to hearing from you.

A

It's most unlikely VM has installed its cabinet "in the middle" of your property as VM normally installs its cabinets on council-owned pavements and verges (preferably next to walls) and does not usually need planning permission to do so. You could post some photos.

I think the thread title needs changing to:

"Virgin Media green box being commissioned directly in front of wall I want to knock down to extend my driveway"
