Hilarious Virgin prices

So I finally got around to opening one of the emails Virgin keep harassing me with about renewing my contract for "the same great price", only to find it's not the same price at all.

I currently pay £87 and my new offer was £93 minus TNT sports, £111 if I want to keep TNT Sports.

I have spoken to Sky who have offered me Sky Stream and Sky Broadband (admittedly much slower) with Sky Cinema and Sky Sports plus the UHD add on all for £45 or £65 if I wanted TNT sports.

Not really a different decision, even if I wanted a different ISP with faster speeds I'd still be quids in.

Nothing new then.  It's even more annoying when the "new customers only" pricing is released.

and their GIG1 which is asymmetric and not symmetric (on most of Virgin's network which is HFC) is still hideously more expensive than other providers, particularly most ALTNETS or Openreach asymmetric based ones on promotion and they are Full fibre without DocSIS latency....
