Why can't you order Flex via MyVirgin Media?

Hi VM,

This page was updated/released recently on March 13th 2025.

It states "there may be an activation fee" - but fails anywhere to declare if there is one, which legally I thought had to be declared if there was one. Even the legal terms bit makes no  reference.

I'd like to add Flex @£5 / month, but the thought of ringing in and then my contract being stuffed up when it should be a simple £5 monthly rolling add-on.

Why can this not be added by MyVirgin Media Portal? It is a simple add-on?

Can you discuss via Private Message at all? - Sky Stream does not have any activation fee, but I had VM Stream (now Flex) + Entertainment package, before I left, and re-joined so looking at this option first.

    I've always understood Flex activation to be £35 but let's see what the VM forum team say. You might get a deal...

    Well VM haven't responded since 2 days ago, so looks like they are not interested in easy new revenue. I for one, am not ringing in, waiting for hours, and risking my contract being stuffed up with incompetence with offshore call centres like this forum is plagued with day after day.

    Off to look at Sky Stream, I am sure Sky will want my money even if VM doesn't. 

    Cardiffman: From what I can work out (as the main product page says "may be charged", is that any activation fee is now £10 even though that newly updated page does not indicate. Still, it's free with Sky, NO activation fee.

        Hi David_Bn,

        Thanks, but looks like Sky Stream (reluctantly as I like Flex when I last had it) then as that is free activation and has benefit of Sky Atlantic, Netflix and Discovery included for only slightly more per month. Thanks for coming back though, as I hadn't sorted it out as yet.
