Stream Box hardware specs

When are we going to get an upgraded Stream box?

I pay over £1k a year for this service and am limited to hardware that is equivalent to a £20 Roku box. The menu is often unresponsive, it buffers occasionally (I’m confidant this is a hardware issue). Then worst of all is the motion handling, watch a football match and you can see where the ball has been as well as where it currently is. It’s really unacceptable. If you have a 360 box do not give it up for this cheap thing.

A shame that Sky are also penny pinching with their stream devices so we don’t really have a good alternative. Although still tempted if just to try Atmos on Sky channels that we don’t have.

A video display problem like you describe is usually due to a poor signal connection. But if you have checked the signal and are sure it's a hardware problem you might want to ask for a replacement box.

Try with an Ethernet cabled connection as a test.

  • Stream box is connected with an Ethernet cable. It can’t be a poor signal as it is over the internet. Picture quality on other streaming apps is far superior. That’s why I think it’s the hardware that is incapable of encoding a decent picture.

looks like the solution will be to cancel and use Sky sports through an Apple TV or similar powerful streamer.

      Hi marko14

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry to hear of any issues with the Stream Box.

Has a factory reset been attempted at all on the box? Best wishes.

That is certainly an option :-)
