Live events delay on Stream

Hi all,

Renewed my package yesterday, and got given a free Stream box to use around the house.

Wanted to know what kind of delay I could expect when watching live events like sport?

Thank you

You cannot really have a “common denominator” for IP driven boxes. A lot of the delays are due to latency on the individual routing of the stream you are watching. You could even get different delays on multiroom boxes within the same house.

  • It does vary but just checking now on Sky News, Virgin Stream was about 25 seconds delayed, Freesat 6 seconds.

Free? Is your new contract £0? Great deal  :)

Theres always a so delay wlith streaming, even a slight delay with Virgin cable. Freeview is the quickest.
