Flex subscription prices

Hi,

For the life of me I can not find these! Before I move over from Sky Stream I want to check how much the subscriptions are but I just can't seem to find that info anywhere - does anyone have a link or the most recent info?

Thanks.

    Hi chewstuey

If just wanting the basic broadband, addingStream (Flex) TV includes a set up fee which is currently £10, although it has been £35 in the past, along with an additional £5 a month for the basic channels. There's a list of the TV channels on the following page

    /virgin-tv-edit/tips-and-tricks/stream-from-virgin-media-channel-guide

The basic channels are in column 1. The Essential Entertainment channels cost an additional £15 a month and they are shown in column 2.

    Other optional costs at present:-

Sky Sports SD is £31.75 a month.  If you want to add HD then it's an additional £7 a  month.  Sky Sports Ultra HD (add-on to Sky Sports HD) an additional £7/month

TNT Sports is an additional £18 a month a month (the channels are all in HD and include TNT Sports Ultimate)

Sky Cinema HD £21.00 a month

Sky Sports HD + Sky Cinema SD bundle: £39.25/month or HD bundle £46.25

    Premier Sports: £15.99/month

    Kids Pick: £5/month

Netflix Standard with ads plan at £4.99 a month, or Standard £10.99 a month, or the Premium (4K) plan at £17.99 a month.

Amazon Prime £8.99 (not sure of this price point)

    Disney+ Premium £10.99 a month

There's a 10% saving which is applied to your monthly bill for any full price addons such as Sky Sports, TNT Sports, and Essential Entertainment that you take and pay through VM.

  • Hi Dave,

Thanks for such a comprehensive answer.

Monthly costs for me then would be:

    1) basic channels - £5

    2) Essential entertainment - £15 (-10% = £13.5)

    3) Sky Cinema - £21 (-10% = £19)

    4) Netflix Standard - £10.99 (-10% = £.9.99)

= approx £47.49 per month (all one month rolling contracts?)

Do you know if there is an Ultra HD option for Sky Cinema?

Whereas with Sky Stream I am now paying:

    1) Sky Entertainment + Netflix = £31

    2) Sky Cinema = £16

    3) Sky UHD + Dolby Atmos = £6

= Total £51 , so not much in it.

      Hi again chewstuey

All of the addons are available on a 30 day rolling contract. (From time to time VM have special promotions with a reduced subscription for agreeing to take on selected add-ons on an 18 month contract, although currently there are no such offers.)

It's an extra £6 a month for the Sky Entertainment & Cinema UHD add on.

There isn't a Sky Movies UHD channel.  Instead there are currently 482 Sky Movies in UHD which are accessed via VM's On Demand service.   There is also a host of additional Sky On Demand content available in UHD which includes box sets and series episodes

You've posted in the forum that's for the Stream (Flex) set top box, however what is it that your  360 set top box does not have?

  • ah that's a shame as it basically makes it more expensive than Sky then 😞
