Changing Package

Hi, As Stream/Flex is a 30 day rolling contract on packages, does that apply to the Mega TV pack also? Can I downgrade to Mixit TV pack or completely remove Stream/Flex from my Broadband account? When I upgraded before, I noticed the end date of contract stayed the same. Any help would be great thanks

If you have Flex, you can add the sub called “Essential Entertainment” for £15 a month, on a 30 day rolling contract, that’s exactly the same channels as Mega TV

If you want to cancel your Virgin Media Flex service you must give them 30 days' notice. You can opt for another TV package but this will be a new 24-month contract. The key question is whether you are a user who wants multiple premium channels and streaming apps, in which case a TV package would be cheaper than Flex with its add-ons.

  • Thanks for the reply, I’d originally took Stream with just Mixit TV channels, then upgraded to Mega TV but because the contract end date remains same I wasn’t sure if could downgrade it back.

  • If you are on the Mega TV pack you are not on the Flex pack which is a different TV package. Whilst Flex can be removed from an account on 30 days notice, Mega TV is usually part of the full contract, with the same length. You can usually downgrade, but not remove TV completely. One thing to bear in mind is that Mega and Mixit are now legacy packages so I don't know if they still allow movement between them.

The Mega TV pack is usually part of a package with the broadband, so can't be downgraded. It will be shown in your contract.
