Apple TV+ locks up , have to pull power to reset

I have the small stream box thing , i also have the Apple TV + subscription. I load Apple TV up on the virgin stream box and the app half loads and freezes the box which makes it unresponsive where the remote is useless. The only way i can fix it is by pulling the power brick from the wall.  I have left the Apple TV app to load for a good 10 mins and still in a half loaded state. 

 

The stream box is hardwired cat8 to 1gb super hub which receives the maximum 989mb speed.

    I have exactly the same issue. It never loads fully and is unresponsive. I can't see any way to update the box or the app.

    Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community.

    Sorry to hear of the issues with the Apple TV app. Is it only that app that causes the box to do that or any other apps doing the same?

    Has a reset of the box been tried to see if this fixes it?

      Hi John

      I have had exactly this issue.  Only the Apple TV app is freezing.  Done factory reset and unplugged etc. and it’s still frozen in the same position.

       

      any ideas on what might be the issue?  It’s driving us nuts as I’m halfway through a TV series

        I am sorry to hear you are also experiencing the same issue with the Apple TV app freezing. 

        Do you have any other device you could access this on to see if the same issue persists?
