Apple+ app glitching

When watching Apple+ the picture freezes for half a second or so every couple of minutes. It also loses audio. This started in the last couple of weeks.

It's so annoying and really just ruins shows. 

Although the box is generally slow and annoying to use, all the other apps play without issues. 

I've tried restarting the streaming box and turning the match frame rate setting on and off.
