Need some help with modem mode

Question

SO i recently was on here complaining of certain games disconnecting my internet and ended up having an engineer to my house to try to solve the issue, he had no clue what was going on atall. The only solution we found to fix my problem was turning the router into modem mode disabling the wifi and i had 0 issues after this, but i cant do this in my house as everything relies on wifi.

My question is can i set up modem mode on my HUB5 and then connect my old HUB3 to it and use that as the wifi output or do i need to buy a 3rd party brand router to do this? Im really getting to the end of my tether with this issue it makes gaming near enough impossible 2 new games i enjoy alot take litterally 1 hour of just waiting for the internet to disconnect and reconnect till it eventually works. So would pairing the 2 together work? I dont really feel like forking out £100+ for a 3rd party router if i can avoid it i shouldnt even have to be doing this to use something we pay alot of money for already. Thanks

That will not work, the VM hubs must be connected to coax and activated on the account for them to work and then only one hub per account. Just run in modem mode and get a wireless access point for the WiFi, &nbsp;they are not very expensive &nbsp;

Yeah honestly i think its time i just switch providers so much headache to get a service working that shouldnt have issues, one of the biggest games in the world call of duty is litterally impossible to play cause the router blocks the packets it sends for no reason. what a poor service honestly

Have you ...Checked and made sure "Child Safe" &amp; "Virus Safe" (DNS filters) are both disabled in the VM Online account.Made sure VM's "Smart Security" (a DNS interceptor/redirector) if present in the Connect app is also disabled.Don't assume these are all disabled.
