Just marking a month of this issue. Not inclined to shift over to Gmail as a primary email address because as this thing shows they're hideously unreliable.

Glad I started this thread but incredibly frustrated that VM are NOT stepping up to do anything to help. Forum moderators, please can you get someone to accept responsibility here as so many of us are losing work - and so many if us will jump ship if you dont??

Same here, and it looks like it's gmail recipients that don't get my emails.

I don't know if there's been an actual fix. But I sent an email from my blueyonder address to my backup Gmail address this morning and it went through rather than be diverted to the spam folder. Fingers crossed.

VM have historically always viewed the provision of emails as a free service that is a business cost. They aren't advertised in their blurb and are seen as loss making product. Hence their reluctance to actually fix anything :-(

VM stopped issuing new email addresses in May 2022 which is why they won't be mentioned in advertising blub.
The issue that this thread relates to is caused by Gmail's spam filtering and is not a result anything that VM can 'fix'.- chriswilson83On our wavelength
That could (and now actually have it seems....). The issue was the emails no longer had the proper authentication requirements, something they just simply needed to change (or upgrade) with their provision. This morning it's stopped so it looks like they finally relented and sorted it, or were all along but it just took some time and they had poor communication skills to keep us in the loop.
Too little too late for me though...I changed my email last week as it got to the point where work contacts weren't getting my messages (and vice versa) and it was causing multiple issues and delays. I won't be changing it back if it is sorted. This is just becoming more common and frequent with Virgin Media now....I hope we all didn't forget 2 years ago when the service stopped working for a month? Or last year when it locked everyone out until they altered a bunch of password requirements (which for some it actually wouldn't let us do)? My contract expires with Virgin Media later this year and it's the first time in the 20 years I've been a customer that I will not be planning to renew. This email and the good broadband speeds compared to others were the things that kept me around. Well...I've now stopped using the email and we also have BRSK established in the area too for equal speeds...
