Virgin Media customer - received email saying Virgin.net email account is going to be closed

Hi there - We have been Virgin Media customers for many years (TV, Broadband, phone) - since 1998 when we moved into our house, although it was Telewest then, in fact. We have a virgin.net email address in my wife's name and have just had the same email as many others saying the account is going to be closed. She relies on this email address for many online accounts and we would love to keep it open if at all possible please. Many thanks, Ian Metcalfe

    VM staff here are offering to help people if the old email is in the same name as your current broadband. If that's the case then one of them should pick this up to advise. 

  • Everyone affected needs to send an email to; [MOD EDIT: Staff email address removed]

    This will raise your concerns & hopefully get a resolution. there’s also the ombudsman www.commsombudsman.org if a satisfactory solution isn’t offered & ends up being deadlocked with your reasonable request.

    Thank you for taking the time to contact us Via our Community and welcome, we do understand the importance of emails especially when you Wife has had and used it for so long and relies on it.
