Urgent: Hacked Virgin Media Email Accounts – Need Assistance
Hi,
I’m looking for support regarding two old Virgin Media email accounts that I previously had when I was a Virgin Media customer. I cancelled my Virgin Media account when I moved home, and I now live with my partner, who currently has an active Virgin Media account in her name.
The two email addresses in question are:
- one ending in @virginmedia.com
- one ending in @blueyonder.co.uk
Both email accounts have remained active since I left Virgin Media. Recently, it appears that both have been hacked. Although I can still access them using the original passwords, I’m unable to update the passwords.
When I try to log in via https://mail.virginmedia.com/appsuite/, I receive the following error:
"This Virgin Media email address isn’t valid."
I understand that email addresses must be linked to an active Virgin Media account in order to be managed. Could you please advise:
- Is it possible to link these email addresses to my partner’s active Virgin Media account so I can change the passwords?
or - If that cannot be done, how can I have these email accounts permanently deleted/deactivated since they have been compromised?
