Taking your points in turn:
"I can’t log into Virginmedia as I no longer have an account."
In that case you need to take urgent action to switch to using a new email account from one of the major email providers such as Gmail, Outlook or Proton. Your ntlworld email account could soon disappear altogether.
VM stopped issuing email accounts in 2022 and although they currently still support VM email accounts used by VM broadband customers they are closing down email accounts that are no longer linked to a VM broadband account.
In fact, if VM had applied the terms of their domestic broadband contract they should have closed your ntlworld.com email account 90 days after your VM broadband ended. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
" my NTLWorld emails are not sending on my iPhone............Incoming emails using IMAP are working fine"
That could be a sign that the IP address of the nework you are using with you iPhone is on an spam blocklist. If you connecting via your mobile data network does it make any difference if you try connecting to your home wifi network?
VM does check the IP address used with outgoing emails to see if they are on spam blocklists.( Perhaps that's another reason to move over to a new email provider?)
If you can find the IP address you are using try entering it here: https://check.spamhaus.org/ to see if it is listed.
It may well be listed on the PBL (Policy Block List) and flagged up as an advisory but that is to be expected.
However, if it appears on any other blocklists, such as Spamhaus' Exploits Block List (XBL) for example then that might well be the reason your ntlworld emails are being blocked by VM.
