Retrieving emails

I used to be a virgin media customer. The monthly cost for my broadband having gone up so much, I changed providers last summer. I ( stupidly!) didn't check if I could continue using my emails on ntlworld.com forever,  I thought i could and I had no idea about the 90 days thing. I haven't been able to access my emails for 2 weeks and am absolutely desperate to get my emails. What can I do? How can I do it? Some emails are related to my medical condition and I have letters from the hospital in my mail box, which I really need access to, even for a couple if days so I can save/ transfer emails. I have phoned many times, i was  promised I could have access in 48 hours a week ago but am still unable to. I am really desperate and need help.

    Hi slaine12 thanks for posting and welcome to our community. Regrettably, when the email service has stopped and the mailbox is ceased, we aren't able to retrieve, sorry.

      Virgin Media have previously operated a policy where in such circumstances if the mailbox has not been fully deleted, they have given a user temporary access.

      Is it not possible to check whether the mailbox is still undergoing deletion and if it is not complete get the user temporary access?

        Thank you very much for your reply Ravenstar68. I wasn't aware of this and will phone VM again tomorrow to check. Thank you
