Request to Create an Alias for a Deleted/Deactivated Email Account (Youtube Access)

Hi,

I’m reaching out to request assistance with an old blueyonder email address I had with Virgin Media. This email address is associated with an old YouTube account I’m trying to recover, but I’m unable to proceed because Google sends verification emails to this address, which no longer exists.

The email account was separate (not an alias) to any that still exist now. Virgin Media deleted the account 8+ years ago due to something like login inactivity or new (back then) account limit policy's.

Please can an alias be created for the old email address to my current Virgin Media email account?

I’m happy to provide any necessary details/verification to confirm my ownership of the old email account.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Regards,

Nick

Thanks for the reply Graham, I'm only asking for a (temporary) alias to be linked to an existing virgin media email account not a new email account.

I'm afraid that makes no difference.  Aliases were only a feature in the Telewest/blueyonder days.

Well, I'm going to keep pushing for it. It has been many years, but I wasn't sure until recently exactly how the email account was named, it was set up specifically for the YouTube account (before google combined accounts). The YouTube account has videos on it, many views and 2000 subscribers.

I didn't ask virgin media to delete the email account in question nor did I violate any terms.

      Hello doc,

Welcome back to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your email account. As you have been advised by the other forums members you wouldn't be able to recover a deleted email address as once the account has been deleted it can no longer be retrieved. Also you can't create another account to use for this address as customers are no longer able to create new email accounts. We would not be able to recover your mailbox even temporarily as this address was deleted in accordance with the terms and conditions that you agreed to when signing up with us.

      Kind Regards,

      Steven_L
