But I am a virgin customer, nothing has changed on that score for thirty years. This email address is probably the one I use most!!!!!! It is absolutely NOT a dead or unused account so why wd they suddenly decide I am no longer a customer. This is their error and I will be utterly livid if that email is suddenly lost to me. What are we expected to do about it and why can't we talk to someone?
I got a similar email today. It's clearly a scam email with Virgin spelt 'Virgeen' or 'Vergin' (something or the other). Is this what you're talking about? Further context would be helpful.

That’s my point, I wish it was as obvious as misspellings or simple grammar mistakes but it absolutely appears to be genuine. And as for somebody else saying they never promised we wd have these addresses forever, I’m afraid they did! When they took over from NTL we were offered to be allowed to keep the two ntl addresses we have and they’ve never threatened to take them away. The main issue here is that this email begins with “as you are no longer a virginmedia customer” but I am.

Nope, i along with a lot of ppl have got this email saying they are deleting my virgin.net email bc I’m no longer a VM customer…which I have been for over thirty years. I’ve had those scam ones too and yes you’re right it’s obvious bc of the misspellings but this sadly is no scam.
