problems with email and iphone

Hi can anyone help, I was having issues with my ntlworld emails on my Iphone  and was advised to delete the account and re-set it up only I can't do that now because I am get a message say no password provided for Ntlworld please go to Mail account settings and enter a password only I have already entered the password for my account. can you help me fix this please

    VM have recently changed the log in requirements for accessing VM Mail via third party apps.

    If you change the password for the account in My Virgin Media > Account settings > Account details you will not be able to use the new password to access the account via an email client. Email client access now requires an app specific password which can be generated in the MyVM > Account Settings > Account details > Mailbox App password management

    Once you have the app password go back to your mail account settings on the phone and enter the new app password.

    I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your email account. 

    As Graham has advised, you will need to generate a new password please.
