Password reset issue (Request in progress)

I have tried to log into my Virgin media account, but I had forgotten my password.
I hvae gone through the forgotten password route, but the moment I put in the new password I get stuck with a request in progress loop that so far has been going on for 10 minutes!
I have tired clearing cache and data, as well as trying on Edge, Chrome & mobile. nothing works! 
Has any solution been found for this annoyance ?

    Sorry to hear you've not been able to complete the password reset. 

    Are you able to show an image of the screen you're stuck on, please so we can investigate this further? Remove any personal information captured in the image before posting.

        We're sorry to hear you're having issues with resetting your password. This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security.

      I ended up strong arming my way into remembering my password.
      It would be good if this could be fixed for people in the future.
