Hi,Since yesterday morning my ntlworld account has not been working, I assumed it was the same issue as everyone else was having but I still have no emails still today. The address is a secondary account so I got the account holder to call today as they wont speak to me, they said that the email address has been deleted!! Apparently it has been in the news so we should know about it.... if that is true its is absolutely scandalous that VM have not contacted me before deleting an email account that is over 20 years old.I just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else or they are just trying to fob me off.Thanks in advance.Dan

Assuming the original account holder is still a paying customer for VM broadband, ask them to log into 'My Virgin Media' for their primary account (where they can see contract info, bills etc.) and check if your email address still shows as being associated with the original broadband service as perVirgin.net access for non virgin customers | Virgin Media Community - 5593360

You will need to wait for one of the VM forum team to reach your topic (usually a few days) and see what, if anything, they can do to recover the mailbox and re-associate it with the active broadband service.If the mailbox was associated with the VM broadband service which you think it was linked to, it would be unusual for it to be deleted.We see regular topics on here where a long-held mailbox is deleted because it has become 'orphaned' from the original broadband service it originated from. This could, for example, happen if the broadband customer has a break from VM and later returns as a customer.

Hi Dan, sorry for your problems, at the moment my wife and myself have ntlworld email addresses and now still active after the outage, apart from missing emails that are up there in the ether. However, a separate problem has resulted from the outage in that I am not receiving emails concerning the status/activity on my house alarm events. What has happened there?

Just to confirm that the account is no longer showing up on the policy holders "additional virgin media online accounts". So anyone any idea what has happened here?

  You should get the person who is the VM account holder to make their own login on here and report the issue. The VM forum team will only deal with the VM account holder.

    I will ask her to do that. She spent an hour on the phone to them earlier today and was told the above and then eventually hung up on by the VM team so she is probably not in any rush to do anything other than cancel her account that she has held for 20 years.
