There have been lots of forum posts on here over the years from VM email users reporting that emails from a whole range of organisations do not arrive in their VM email accounts.
A recent one I remember involved order confirmation emails from Screwfix but there have been many other examples.
The most obvious reason these email are not arriving is down to fact that VM run a number of stringent checks on all incoming email over and above simply checking the contents of an email to see if it looks like spam.
Many organisations and companies use automated email software to manage the sending of emails in respect of;
- Booking confirmations
- Transactional emails such as sending One Time Passwords and PINs
- Regular newsletters or marketing emails sent to mailing lists.
I'm thinking the emails that are going missing fall into one of those categories?
Putting it simply, it seems that the settings of many such automated email management systems often cause VM to reject the emails they send out because VM cannot be certain that they have been sent by the organisation that appears as the "Sender" of the emails.
Sadly, if some eviivo emails fail VM's checking process there is nothing you can do to "whitelist" them to ensure they arrive in your VM email account.
The only way to know exactly why these emails are not getting through is to look at the error messages or non delivery emails that the sending organisation receives from VM each time they send you an email that fails to arrive in your account.
However, getting that information from the customer support staff of sending organisations is difficult at best and in most cases it's impossible. In fact, the first line eviivo support staff may not have access to that level of information.
To be honest your best bet is to switch to using an email account from a professional email provider such as Gmail, Outlook.com or one of the many others available.
It is worth noting that VM stopped issuing new email accounts more than 3 years ago and since then new VM customers have not had the option of getting a VM email account. VM do still support VM email accounts of existing customers but the long term future of the VM email service is unclear.
Sorry I cannot be more positive regarding a solution.
