Linking account to vm/o2..

Good afternoon all,

so like many others I have had the login issue of requiring a combined account.

i am led to believe that I am “not” required to link an account to o2.

i can no longer access my email via web mail on my iPad without doing this above requirement.

i can still access my email on my pc and android phone BUT my primary use device is my iPad.

is there a way to bypass this requirement as I have no need for an o2 account, I do not want to create a back up email account somewhere else to be able to log in. My phone and pc work perfectly without this requirement.

any help gratefully received ..

many thanks in advance

You need to create the VMO2ID, that’s non negotiable.  However you can skip the O2 bit and just carry on.  I don’t have O2 and used the skip option without any problem.

Thank you for the reply, I do not have a second email except another ntlworld one, which I can not use as it will not allow it.

so how comes I can STILL see them via my android phone and pc? If it was nonnegotiable then I would have to have done it there as well ??

You are likely to be able to continue with access via your phone and pc email clients until you have cause to change the account password or change devices.  Also, without a VMO2ID you will not be able to access your account to check on your VM bills or make any changes to your account.

If your Ntlworld email address isn't associated with a current VM broadband account then it is on borrowed time and may be deleted at any time by VM without notice.
