How do I close an old NTLWorld email account?

Hi,

I have cancelled my virgin media over a year ago but the ntlworld email has remainded active and has today been hacked. Please could someone advise how I can close this email account down?

    Just wait here a couple of days for a VM Mod to pick this up and discuss directly with you.  When  I requested the same, it took around 10 days to complete the deletion.
