Has my email been deleted

Hi

I was told my old ntl email address had been deleted back in December. This was after several weeks of requesting after the email account was hacked. However a family member has accidentally emailed this old address and it wasn’t bounced back or reported as an invalid address so I’m now concerned it hasn’t been deleted after all. Could someone look into this urgently, as I am very concerned the account may still be live
