Forgotten Password For Secondary NTLWorld email Address

I’ve seen similar problems to this on here but can’t seem to find the solution.

I’ve had an NTLworld/Virgin account for maybe 30 years. In years gone by it was possible to set up multiple email addresses from one account, so that’s what I did. So for the sake of argument my email is xxx@ntlworld.com and I set up a second email address for my wife which we’ll call yyy@ntlworld.com.

Now I understand that this is no longer a thing and each email needs it’s own VM login. The problem we have is that we can’t remember the password for the second email address, but it was never linked to a Virgin Media account.

When I log in to Virgin Media I have access to my emails of course, but have no visibility of the second email address. When we try the forgotten password link for the secondary address it takes us to a screen asking security questions (date of birth and mothers maiden name) but these have never been set up so whatever we put in isn’t recognised.

How can I recover the password for a second email address that was created from my account?
