Emails sending but not receiving any.

Last night I went through the process of linking my Virginmedia account with my O2 account. Since then, I have been able to send emails but am not receiving any. I have tried sending them to my ntlworld email address from the same address, and from my gmail address. The gmail address receives them but the ntlworld one doesn't. Any suggestions please?

  • I have now found 1 spam email in my spam folder a few minutes ago. And also been able to forward a received email to myself. When I write my email address in the 'to' box, it says it is an external email address. I've not noticed that before.

  • Tried to sign in again this morning and told to link my accounts again. Still not receiving emails. Then checked my O2 account. I did have Volt add ons. It now says I'm not illegible as I need a Virginmedia account too.

  • I'm getting the same thing, saying I have to "Contact our team to continue" and quote a reference

    If I call, I end up sitting for "hours" waiting for someone to answer. 

    It was fine before this linking to O2 but they've moved the goalposts and caused frustration and annoyance amongst many customers.

     

    WHY???

  • Subsequent to my last post, I find I can log in using my mobile phone, but not my laptop.

    Please VM sort this out.  as if you don't you will lose one of your longest existing customers.

  • Has anything been sorted yet about this chaos? I must have a lot of emails by now that I haven't been able to read. I'm sure I won't be the only one.

      We're sorry to hear you're having issues receiving emails to your ntlworld email address. So we can help support you, can you confirm how you're accessing your mailbox? Is this via webmail or through an email client/app?

        Hi Kath.

        I have answered your question twice now but it's not showing up so trying again. 

        I use the website to log in on my laptop, phone and tablet.

  • I've now been able to log in using my laptop but I don't know what has allowed me to do this.  Nothing has changed, same email address and same password, but hey, come on VM, spill the beans and tell the user community what you have done as having worked in IT support, I was always transparent and happy to tell my users what I did to resolve an issue.  Maybe they didn't understand but they were happy.

  • Heck, I'm one confused person!

    I can get into my main VM email inbox now.

    What is going on?
