Email on Mail App (iPhone)

Emails stopped syncing yesterday for no reason, went through the absolute faff of linking O2 account etc etc etc and generating email app password. Removed account from my device and tried to add again, nothing I've tried works....constantly receive a SMTP server is not responding error - despite all details entered (email address, new app password etc) all being correct. 

At a point where I'm seriously considering abandoning anything email related with VM.

    Have you tried generating a new Mail App password? Once a VM account has been locked for some reason it often seems to need multiple resets of the Mail App password to unlock the account.

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password

    Also:

    A sensible move,     VM stopped issuing new email accounts back in 2022 and since then new VM customers no longer have VM email accounts.  Also, VM are now actively deleting VM email accounts that are no longer linked to a live VM broadband account. So the number of active VM email accounts is on a steady downward curve.

      Hi Coenoby,

      Yes, multiple times I've generated a new Mail App password and no luck. No matter what I try I receive this error.
