Email issue

 

Hello. 

Can someone help me out. I have a virgin media email address which now I cannot access the password ever since this merger 02 virgin.  

So out virgin account is in my wife's name before the switch I could sign in to virgin which was a Gmail email and access my email and get new password. 

Now when I sign in with my Gmail I get in but when I go to manage my products it says add my virgin account when I put account number in I get approve the transfer of account to virgin media 02 id 

It asks for my wife's Gmail what does transfer mean will it transfer all the account to my account. I'm lost been like this for months horrendous.

    Do you recall receiving an email in June informing you that the sign in username for your additional email address was changing back to the actual email address rather than continuing to use the gmail address that you had previously set?  What happens if you try and sign in now with the actual VM email address rather than the gmail one?

      Hmmm I don't recall getting a email. I didn't know was going back to the virgin email. I have tried signing in with that but asking for password which I don't have so done forgotten password but asks for favorite city which I have never set. So your saying once I get logged in with my virgin email everything will be fine ?

    Thanks for your post and welcome to our community. 

    We're sorry you're having some issues accessing your email account. 

    You don't need to transfer the account no. 

    If you can't access your email account, is there a forgotten password prompt for example?

    Please follow the steps there to reset this.

    If you get any errors doing so, please do pop back to us here and let us know.

      When I come to sign in with my virgin media email. I have pressed forgotten password because I dont have one and to reset it its asking for my favourite city which I have never set.

        Thanks for coming back to us, polyprop. Can you register a new VMO2 ID for the email account that you're having trouble accessing?
