Email Filtering - Way too much SPAM!

I had an issue some months ago where I couldn't even access the Email Filters. VM finally resolved it but it took them about a week to sort.
I have tried all sorts of filters but none of them seen to work.
Just possibly had a EUREKA moment and have now, this minute whilst typing this thread, selected "Turn off all Spam Filtering" in SPAM SETTINGS (Penultimate Screenshot). Previously it was set to "Move messages to SPAM Folder" but I am guessing that the email filters will not affect anything already in SPAM.
The other screenshots are of various filters I have created but I guess I was expecting SPAM already in the SPAM Folder to be moved to the Trash folder.
Having said that some emails were still getting through to the Inbox.
